Farmville Crops Guide

Farmville Crops GuideFor those of you that don't know, the main objective of FarmVille is to plant , grow and harvest crops to gain coins and experience points to level up to the next level. So, in this Farmville Crops Guide, I will explain how to make the most out of your crops.

So, how does the FarmVille crop system work? It's pretty simple actually, all you do is plow a plot of land on your farm, plant your chosen seeds, wait till they're mature enough, and they will automatically be sold as soon as you click on the crops to harvest them. Just like real life, the crops in FarmVille have different growth times and you will need to pay attention to this because each crop will provide better rewards depending on it's time as well.

Plenty of beginners make the common mistake of planting lots of crops with high prices. This will only slow down your farming process and I heavily discourage you from doing so. Instead, you should focus on growing fast growing crops like strawberries for quick returns. Continue reading my Farmville Crops Guide to learn how to make the most out of your crops.

Strawberries can be harvested after four hours, whereby you will be rewarded with one experience point and 30 coins each. So, imagine how many coins and experience coins you will get if you sow three patches of strawberry seeds. The costs of the seeds are 30 coins, you will receive 3 experience points for plowing the land, another three for planting the seeds, and lastly, you can sell them for again for a profit of 105 coins.

Rinse and repeat the same method over and over. I'm a firm believer that we should stick to something that works. Why change when something guarantees great results each time?

You can do this 2 times in a day, or even 3, if you know how to manage your time properly. Sometimes, if you're lucky, maybe even four times.

Just compare this to other plants which may take up to one day before you can harvest it. Even then, the rewards are inferior compared to what you can get from planting strawberry seeds. I highly recommend focusing on planting cost effective seeds that take a short time to harvest before you decide to buy any other type of seeds.

Realistically speaking, you need to make sure that your crops in FarmVille suits your real life schedule. This means that if you're going to be at school all day, plants with short harvest times are just going to wither. I recommend planting the cheapest one day harvest crops so that they will be ready to harvest when you wake up the next morning.

Personally, I think soybeans are a very good option to do this because they are very cost efficient (15 coins), you gain a profit of 63 coins and it earns you one experience point.

If you're looking for something else, maybe you can choose to plant pumpkins. Pumpkins take up to 8 hours before they can be harvested, cost 30 coins and yields a profit of 68 coins and one experience points. By understanding your time schedule, you will be able to choose the proper seeds to plant.

Once you get the hang of things, you can start to plant strawberry seeds during the day, but at the same time, pick some one day seeds to plant around your farm so that you will always be harvesting instead of just having an empty farm. However, you should only really attempt this when you have had some experience playing the game.

Ultimately, the way you plant and harvest your crops depends on how organized and systematic you are in managing your time. You should learn how to adapt to different situations and choose the proper crops to plant. I hope that you have learned more about crops after reading my Farmville Crops Guide.
