How to Get Started in FarmVille

If you've just started playing FarmVille, it won't take you long to understand how this flash game has captured the attention of thousands of people everywhere. You are spoilt for choices when it comes to the type of seeds you can grow, the different choices of lifestock you can choose to breed, and what type of buildings and decorations you want to place on your farm. However, since you have so many options, it can be very hard for beginners who have no idea where to start. So how to get started in FarmVille?

Expansion

The key to doing well in FarmVille is to expand your land. This means that you'll need to clear and safe a fairly huge amount of land to plant as many crops as you can. Be wary of the amount of land you clear though. One plot of land will costs you 15 coins to clear, so clearing too many plots of land at once will leave you with no coins to purchase seeds that you will need to plant.

Generally, I recommend expanding your land slowly so that you will be able to make use of the benefits and advantages you receive from the plants. Remember to replant on the same plots of land after each harvest. Having done this, you'll have a much easier time finding out how much plot of land you can afford to clear. Repeating this pattern will result in quick expansion of your farm while guaranteeing that you'll have enough money to plant seeds on all the cleared plots.

Planning

One more important factor to take note of is learning to time your harvests properly. This will help you learn how to get started in FarmVille. Whenever you plant a crop, it will take a certain amount of time to mature before you can harvest it. Make sure that you do not delay the timing too much. If you can't make it back in time, your crops will wither and you have to repeat the entire process again. It is crucial that you plan the timing of your crops so that you'll be able to get back in time to harvest them.

FarmVille is one of those games where you can set at a certain pace and take as serious as you want it to be. If you rarely play and only log in once a week, that's no problem at all. Just make sure that you plan ahead and that your plants will last the week. I can promise you however, that once you start playing, it will be unlikely that you will be able to stay away for too long.
